Supporting the Boaz community in preparing for annual Nativity Play

Boaz Project Christmas Nativity 2024

Members of our project teams from Allenby and MUJV helped the Boaz community get ready for their annual festive event.

Our team at the Allenby project recently raised over £400 to purchase a 10ft Christmas Tree and a range of festive decorations and produce to help this fantastic local charity prepare for their seasonal public event at Hill Farm, Sutton Scotney.

10 colleagues from the project team, led by Rod Booth and Paul O'Leary, spent some time at the venue, working alongside members of the community to give them practical support with decorating the chilly outdoor barn in readiness for their show.

In a similar display of generosity, colleagues from the MUJV also donated their own project tree and decorations to ensure the common room at the Boaz venue was just as cheery for the festive season.

This year Boaz members told the story of the birth of Jesus Christ from the perspective of a curious sheep. The sheep’s eye at this event, featuring real sheep and donkeys, was packed with humour and thought-provoking readings mixed with carols and other choral music, sung by Barton Stacey Chamber Choir, accompanied by the Andover Salvation Army Band.
