New look for Bacton Primary School grounds

UKPNS Bacton Primary School

There was no sitting ‘’on the fence’ for these visitors to Bacton Primary School – instead they were moving the picket fence before terms starts!

Children returning to school next month (September) will find new outdoor equipment in place, after some of our colleagues moved 50 metres of fencing and a bike shed, then removed an old pergola to make room.

The fence was repainted in its new location, by the team of ten employees from Bury St Edmunds. They get two paid days a year to volunteer in the community to help local good causes.

It’s truly inspiring to see the commitment Bacton Primary School has to creating a positive learning environment for its students. At UK Power Networks Services, giving back to the communities we serve is a core part of how we work. I’m incredibly proud of the energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm our team brought to this project—it’s delivered fantastic results that will benefit the school for years to come.

The team were absolutely fantastic, working incredibly hard to move the fence in preparation for our new outdoor equipment, and taking numerous items to the skip. They moved our current bike shed, and so much more. Their professionalism, positive attitude, and teamwork were a credit to the company. We are genuinely grateful for their help and are looking forward to showing the results off to the children and their families in September.

The school in Bacton near Stowmarket, has around 110 pupils who will enjoy the new equipment over the coming months.
