Power workers awarded top accolades

A duo of our South Eastern electricity workers have won prestigious awards for their outstanding contributions to the field of energy management.
Project manager Trevor Harber, and client delivery manager Kim Kelly, were given Lifetime Achievement and Role Model awards respectively at our annual Living Our Values Awards, held at The Guildhall in London and attended by 400 employees.
The 150 finalists had been selected from our 6,200-strong workforce, and this was also a special way to mark our 15th anniversary this month.
Now working to keep the lights on at London Gatwick Airport, Trevor began his journey in 1968 when he joined Seeboard as an electrical apprentice. Over the years, he has worked on various projects, including local schools, hospitals, and at Liverpool Street Station to move electrical equipment to allow the establishment of the Elizabeth Line.
Kim Kelly oversees a department of approximately 60 staff. Based in Chatham, she delivers critical infrastructure works across private and public electricity networks, as well as managing major programmes in rail and ports. She played a key role in merging High Voltage Rail and Engineering teams, guiding staff through the transition with professionalism and a collaborative approach.
